Aye Can I hear you !!
Feels like my brain's hooked
And an empty mind wanders
around a dazzling campus
lush greens and labyrinths of hope
thousand minds, thousand thoughts
Silent Roars and Still moves
Thousand commands, committed troops
Lights and mikes
Ramp walks and awesome curves
Rock bands and long hairs
they're still alive at Decibelz Ten
beats and licks, hippy hips
Clapping hands and dancing feets
Sexy Grooves at thousand watts
and KK -- KK -- Kay Kay
What a rocking show that was!
Ahh! I can feel it all
Kuruk-Glady-Skil-Spardha & Helios
The shouts still ring in my ears
I still feel the pulse
the launch booms and goosebumps
The awesome games and
woah ! awestruck participants
hundred meetings and myriad voices
Four tall men and their hundred faces !
Half a thousand minds into
a thousand tasks
And yes we get all the time
to still party our way to a
glorious Xpressions
Two thousand and Ten
Wasn't it party & fun time all the way
Common I can hear CRs buzz
and the thunders across all ears
Who's guarding them nights long
where do we carry our lappy's now
They not gonna stay in our rooms
Where do we do all the masti
while still at work and deadlines to meet
The mind boggling flashes and
blinding crackers
And the festivities and busy bugs
I am gonna miss them
XPRESSIONS 2010
Aye Can I hear you !!!
Aye Can I hear you life long !!

Trails left behind ..

You have tried enough
To be like the one you just heard of
The one blessed you thought
written a fortune signed by God
Luminaries of stage and screen
Dressed in their best camouflage
Bloated up, with sapphire sarcasm
content at the cheer and clap
And this day has come
We realise our destinies
The flower head on our fat pots
Let's get back to the old rocks
Like a storm blown over
Dance to the wee hours -
mock at the clocks
Let's roll and rock till time ends
listen to the humble ruck
to their misdeeds, their moments of truth
The cabal of aides that locked my mind
Let me share a smile,
give a hand to the kind
Let's listen to the water drops
The cries and silly laughs
We never cared about
Let's feel the soil of -
endless cultures confered upon
The fragile hands of their supports
Let's spare a mock
And afford a peek into the
Scads of endless dust on our
thinly burnt lust
Let's spare the infinite minutes we spent
burnish our camoufalged skins
rather gage at the contours
Things we have had, things we could have
Strewn lie my slim pickings
Let me spare a glance at them
Their irrelevance or lost importance
Let me drown it to the ages
Let us shed the premonitions
Shed the fucked up lies
Let us merry, let us party tonight
For all that was worth the fight
Let's joke the day off
Amidst earthly skins and humour chins
Let me jump out of my cube
I wanna dance and drown
I wanna party my failures
That I left behind ..

Reflections ...

I have long been out of posting. Sometimes, I do wonder what could be the reason. I have heard of and myself experienced this writer's block. Never much believed in it though. I think that people who write sincerely are as honest as expressive to their writing. As they say, it is easy to read an author's thoughts from his/her books or writings, the typical tone they lend to their protagonists, the style of writing, the dialogies of the various characters, plots, etc. But again, the same would be with other artists like a musician, a filmmaker, an artist, even a sportsperson! Yes, if you closely observe almost any person, you can often see the symptoms speaking out from their actions in their day to day life like the way they operate a computer, the way they wash their car, personal habits, in their communication with other people, their attitude towards a failed plan, their reaction to a daily life dissapointment like the wash guy failing to get the ironed clothes in time in the morning, etc. Let alone their creations or productions. They obviously are something that the person is very good at. So they do speak volumes about the person.
But when I think sportsperson, I tend to think of certain strategy sports requiring individual skill more than team skill like chess, bridge, poker, billiards, golf. Because in a team game, the spirit is very different. You wear a team character and a spirit and attitude typical of the team. Since I have personally observed chess games and know the kind of people they are in their daily lives, I presume with certain degree of possibility that almost all the chess players exude similar behaviour off-game like the people I did observe did. The mathematical induction may not be accurate but can we refute this by proof of negation.
Seriously, did you ever find a chess player who possesses characteristics unlikely of a chess player like say impatience or compulsive behaviour? This is not a rhetoric question rather an open ended one that I pose so that I gain a broader perspective. I have never watched golf, so I am not sure if Tiger Woods did play for the holes with an amount of risk he took in his personal quest for them !! I would like some comments on that so as to know if my inclusion of golf in the list & the very presumption is justified.
Well, coming back to my not posting anything off late, I think though seldom but things hardly did urge me to write anything. Many things to write about certainly but they just could not push me hard to get to this text box! And now when I have taken this long a break and come back to my own posts, I can find and sense a lot of naivety in certain lines, certain metaphors and similes I find silly and many times a better writer I can be, I realise. Did help me. Yes. These minute observations I was not able to do then. May be, most of my readers could sense that, but unfortunately I do not have a sizeable and dedicated reader base for genuine comments and suggestions to come through. I always welcome criticism, constructive or destructive; so I would again like anyone who comes across any post of this blog to spare a kind moment and send back a suggestion or two.
When I look back to my older posts, those that relate to a particular infatuation of sort- all the love poems; I realise now that though this lady was far from true love or any such hallucinating relationship levels. But may be she was a figure symbolic of this mystic lady that I would fall for. A stretch of my imagination and a real figure for that stretch ! I do not for sure know. May be that.
Well, a piece of my mind to share. So, back to writing, typing faster, I have expectations to put forth some expressions, some thoughts from frequently here. I have always tried writing songs than poems so I could lend them a music and they find some better and exciting ways of expression than just words in html or on a page! I am still somewhat confused with the punctuation marks :) I am sure I will improve. So that's the challenge. Let's see.
Thanks a ton to all my readers and followers, most of them old school and college friends, relatives, people at work, friends of friends, etc. I hope you follow my blog, on the button atleast so you get a New-post alert and save me some effort :)
Wish you the best of the new work year ahead and all the happiness.
Good luck.

I assume that most of the readers the blog owes its existence to, are interested or involved in one way or the other to poetry and expressions of the myriad musings of life.
This is a small resourceful site that encourages beautiful and inspiring poetry. It also features periodical contests and offers many services like how to self publish your book.
I am sure, for all the budding poets out there, this is an important bookmark.

BumpTop - Another entrepreneurial Story & OTA Syndrome
Well, here is something that will surely help all those task gluttons and crammed up souls and of course the very indolent ones !!!
Bumptop
This is an amazing tool that will virtually transform your desktop's 2D environment to an astonishing 3D workplace. Pile up all your important or recent tasks, canonical notes- stuff 'em up all so clean .. and many other enhancements in the offing.

Well, the creator of this is Anand Agarawala, another so called techpreneur, dollars banked on his head and hands somewhere else !! Well, jokes apart, this is a Master Thesis at the University of Toronto. Sometimes, I really wish Indian universities provided the best of technologies and scope for such techpreneurs to create wealth and newer avenues.
Read more about him. Dig, mine (Ok.. that would do !)and post your reviews and comments.
Download and test the free version !
For a free PRO license, here is an idea that might work. At least, I have tried my hands.

Debasing as it is, I fear I suffer from the OTA Syndrome. Any guesses. Obsolete Technological Awareness Syndrome. To some dollar pounding hearts, this syndrome doesn't make a difference, but I think one can hear the jingles when one rides on the horse.
I am not sure but this post is like flogging an old horse. Atleast, new for me !

Discipline & Me !!!
It has been a long period of hibernation since I last posted. While the Rebel-In-Me continues to speak volumes to me, I am unable or may be squeezed by time and energy to post some of them here. Certainly, the writers' block has ended with something I write today. In fact, this is an exercise for a breach of discipline, assigned by the Dean.
All the while, I must admit it has been a mix of emotions and Xperiences since I joined XIM, Bhubaneswar. I will try to put some of them here.

Meanwhile, the Annual Management and Cul-Fest Xpressions '09 at XIM was one of the best of its kind and and rich experience that I shall forever cherish. Well, then let me get back to
Discipline and Me.
The rustic and under mould wandering mind of a child travels faster beyond the imaginable, dying to explore the unending ionic rigs around him, certainly inquisitive about and troubled by the vagaries of human nature as he digs deep and wide. The same state as this, I had a very rudimentary notion of Discipline and priorities though a good idea of things I loved to do and things I should do. As I continued to interact with the world around me, pulled by random ideas that I happily embraced, I radiated more energy split and did exude a good deviation from the accepted norms of discipline; blame it on Stark and Zeeman effects or a typical mindset endowed upon(‘gifted’ might sound an eulogy minus conviction).
I left home at 16, and have since been a boarder for the past 6 and half years. These years have been the actual formative years of my life, a quarter Gita for the rest of my life. My two years at Nalanda in AP have taught me a lot of values. The place was known for the disciplinary values it imparted to the student apart from the learning. I learnt punctuality and routine, hard work and perseverance, tolerance and passion. The community, students and faculty alike, were the single major agents that did to a great extent, condition my erstwhile notion of Discipline. And, competition demands a balanced Disciplinary level.
My engineering days put forth in front of me a host of opportunities, brought in a lot of perspectives and certainly did distort all conditioned notions of discipline to a point where I was confused as to what should the way of life be. All my life, there was one thing that never failed to propel me: Stand on my own. It’s futile to shout, but I have been through various phases of hardship and efforts to where I am today. Engineering taught me integrity of values. I have always thought that my way in those four years did suit me. I am still confused if they did compromise on my character. I have always made it a point to improve; I falter many a times and promise to me once again.
Needless to say, my stay at XIMB so far has taught me more lessons, esp. on Discipline and integrity, than my entire span of learning. Competition to the neck is a defining factor in the learning. Every concept taught in a lecture, has an analogy with something to do with our own self. Every second spent wisely is an investment for a world to accrue in times to come. I do falter, many a times, but I take back a lesson to put the next foot in the right direction. I do exhaust, but I wake up to a call for a reason to fill. There is no void in oneself that would go uncovered at the end of two years is what I believe. And to succeed, I have to manage my resources the best, know what I want and channel my effort into a single conduit. Though its dark end is hazy right now, I am sure the dots shall connect and I would have better things to write in my valedictory speech to my mother of learning, XIMB.

Passions Unkempt ....

When I say I love You , I do
When I say I am getting mad, I am
Close Your eyes, take a deep breath
and for all the world , feel the touch
that crawls on in your mind
that haunts you in your sleep
that warns to rob you of your heart...
I can see the chaos ,
the passion unkempt,
in your eyes, they twinkle like stars
I can listen to the waves
that beat against your firm mind,
They call you to embrace them
and flow in their amorous cadence,
rise as they swell
and calm when they abate.
I can feel the tremor in your steps
they cry aloud that its true,
and I reverbate the beats of your bosom
they hardly veil any clue.
Logic can never fathom love
nor can they decipher
the music that buzz our ears,
Let your soul feel the zephyr
Let the moment break the cipher
'Cause, this is the moment
the tong of a bell
This is the flame at peak
This is the moment of truth
And if you feel than think
this is true,
Why don't you tell me..
You love me too ?

A Dead Poet by May !!

I have walked enough
on meadows decorated with pebbles,
and I have relished
the grass- wet and supple.
I have seen enough
that could stir me to write
I have felt a world
of senses
that sees nothing but fight-
a fight of actions with
words sawn off a shotgun
words blunt, words beautiful
words, that satiated my anxieties
as a lively cover-up tool
words that spilled my brains
and hearts onto roads
words that lied my pains
and fired blood in my goads.
They styled my voice
till I stood the test of time
now that I falter
its all a matter of shame
It 's something I dare not say
But I think
I am a dead poet by May !!
The girl, the angel,
the salt of my poems
ready to fly off, ready to swell
fanning my dreams to flames.
She had weaved magic in my heart,
spurred ruckus in my head
she has shaped my art
and words to my lines fed.
I wish she lives her best
- lives the charm of my words
I wish she conquers every test
and holds all her cards.
Wish she finds a man
to show her a better world;
a world beyond a web of words,
a world beyond paper-borne festivities.
I wish she finds the carnival
brimming with joy -
and mirth of pursuit
The man be me
and feet her own
but while she prepares for the noon
I fear
I would fade off soon
for my words would have
nothing to decorate-nothing to say
And I think
I am a dead poet by May !!
I fear I will fail to see
the symbols all around
I think I will struggle to read
the lines that
once an aria sound
I fear the leaves shall wilt
but for want of fresh water
and light to help them breathe
I fear the light shall distance
enough to be able to smother
and rob it of her fragrance.
I fear the soil shall dry,
and in case not
- the roots get weak
enough to pull the water beneath;
I fear I will lose the zeal
to ever attempt, draw
the sword from its sheathe;
I fear if any beauty
in any form,
will ever water my senses;
I pity
I would otherwise have to say
I am a dead poet by May !!

Wonder if it's called LOVE
I speak to myself,
immersed in your thoughts-
we discuss a thousand things,
we call upon a myriad shots.
He sleeps by your side.
He walks by you;
He loses track of time-shuns my pride.
I ask why ?
'cause I ain't got a clue.
He longs to meet you,
By your side-deep into an ocean
of vivid dreams-
He gets lost, yet gallops
with unbound joy on a timeless lane;
laughs, sobs, exudes pure madness,
dying to hear your voice,
relish your presence, relish your smile.
I pity, poor master,
he ain't got no choice.
He sees you in the weirdest things;
A rose is fine, but a burst of a cracker!
Stars and candlelights okay, but the glow of a bulb!
hazy etchings on a splendid moon,
smoke, ethanol and split waves,
slick stuff called gifts and hot babes.
He wishes strange things;
A passionate kiss, a sensuous touch
that could dope him a month
Believes in every other-than-natural force
Reckon he's drowning
God, please guide him to the shores.
Contemplating mysterious thoughts
He is lost in his own musings
Roaming restless across a labyrinth
sullied with emotional spills.
I debate him for logic,
but he's blind- got hardly any
and I guess he is falling sick.
I could mock, kick his butt
but he got no save
Its evident, the trapdoor's shut
and I stand helpless,
analogous to a chained slave.
I love him for the pleasures
I loathe him for the pains
My psyche's out of shape
and thoughts bounce for miles
Eyes transcend beyond vision
and I hear songs in silence.
Jump with glee-still on a chair
yet nothing I sense-
I am amused, intoxicated
and it feels like
romance is in the air !!
All for you-
and I just hope
He understand what I am going through.
The world for him seems changed,
Revolving around a point
called 'YOU',
An inexplicable phenomenon it stands,
every element of it addicts,
the insanity, the giving
the joy and the agony
ought to be savored whist it stays
or lest it wilts.
I wonder what you name this madness
I wonder if it's called 'LOVE'.

The Reader - MyView

I just finished watching an Oscar nominated movie "The Reader".
I had earlier preferred against watching "The Milk" for its homosexual content.Pardon me, I am not that narrow-minded but I was just not very comfortable. But on the other hand, Curious Case of Benjamin Button absolutely blew off my mind. So, I had great expectations from this movie too. Dircted by Stephen Daldry, it is based on an award-winning novel by German law professor and judge Bernhard Schlink.
Set in the backdrop of the holocaust times, the movie deals with a wonderful relationship between Hanna Schmitz(Kate Winslet) and Michael Berg(David Kross).Hanna, isolated by her existence, finds this young guy, sick and dull. It wasn't that she was attracted to her. But as time flew by, and they happen to meet consistently and make love to each other, and they develop
a special chaste yet emotional bonding between them. It was like a symbiotic relationship. Michael used to read her books, many books and the relationship was something he had begun to identify himself with. It was something he couldn't live without now. It sort of filled the very gaps in his own life. It was like a fantasy escape for him.
But Hanna leaves one day and the whole dream ends for young Michael. They lead their lives in a disparate fashion. Michael moves on to study law and had almost left his past behind, till one day he visits a trial being a law student. And one among the accused is Hanna. The case is of a Jewish genocide and ultimately she confesses to writing a report that could prove her guilty. This was when Michael realises that she never knew reading itself in the first place. The ulterior motive though,is not very clear, it is undoubtedly the burden of guilt that had taken toll on her.
The next part deals with how they get into touch with each other. Michael(Ralph Fiennes) finds a way to read her books-tapes.He would tirelessly record tapes of his favorite books and send it to her.Meanwhile, Hanna decides that she would learn to read, and to write. She teaches herself listening to the tapes and lookin at the books. She writes several notes to Michael. This part is the part I liked the most. It so wonderfully potrays sacrifice and bonding in a relationships sans a name, sans any meaning yet with a profound effect that it leaves behind for both.
By the time she finishes her life term, she teaches herself how to read and write.
On the day she was meant to be released, she gives away her life. A calling perhaps that an important purpose of her life, being literate was accomplished coupled with the fear or intimidation of having to face a world as a perpetrator of 300 lives.
She leaves behind some money for the lone survivor of the fire, that Michael wishes to donate by her name.
Kate Winslet's role as an illiterate woman, who has to bear the guilt and shame of being responsible in a mass murder of Jews, as a Nazi gaurd for women prisoners, is challenging but she has done full justice to it. She emanates pathos, yet exudes her human side so vividly. It is the characters more than the story that actually lures one into the movie.
For some time into the movie, it seems to be dealing with maudlin story between a guy and a woman of varying ages. But as the story unfolds, there is every relevant emotion portrayed very wonderfully weaved into the scheme of things, in the best possible and most realistic manner.
I would rate it 7.5/10.

Scribblings on a high
and things wild, things unknown
dreams of a rosy life
resting all on a flower-spread couch
inebriated of sorts
by gallons of sensual teasers
Life rests on a velvet cot,
her legs numbed and heavy cracks;
the vignettes of life
percolating,
and some chemical attacks
the entire reaction is
smothering rough,
a likely sour taste on my
interminable sweet tooths
Yet..
a sweet glance into realities
a talk with my soul frees
weird traces of the psychedelic kick
and unfound zions
thad had me sick..
Still..
the mystery of this
unsung tutelage of life
though to every man does
preach the basics to strive,
points and often punches
straight on your face;
and 'watch out'
it says..
that's when u mend
sort your life better...
to get another high
to slip another time..
and yet not to lose..
but to rise ...
and to rise higher ..
another time !!!

The Year Gone By-
As time ticks on, a year has gone by,
yet unlike always,
'twas not in the wink of an eye,
the year I felt was long,
for mama and for me-and for many of her sons
we all are happy; we are all strong;
but 'twas unlike the usual song-
it had its moments; of pride
of passion, of joys, celebrations,
and mama held her head high,
basked in the glory of her successes.
but not for long..
shocking elements crept in soon,
predictable yet unanticipated,
nations crippled, economies suffered
she tried - she struggled,
yet as inevitable it was, it was rude
and I limped alongside,
struggling to stand;
out and loud.
as men fought men; distinctions arose
unity in diversity, mama broke to tears
silly she thought, silly it was
the very fabrics of her existence
bent to unleash wrath,
sabotaged her
to a caricature of ridicule,
and she stood helpless
gaping in shame, and utter disgrace.
she was recovering though,
from her wounds;
affairs were in real bad shape
yet we were strong, we were hopeful,
but destiny had for us,
some real ugly turns.
all the pending notes,
of the tumultuous song-
had pathos, had cries,
imbued through out...
marred by fateful events mama was
'serenaded by the terror bird'
a quilt of love and brotherhood
so easily burnt to ashes....
as in horror,she watched,
the death macabre; and
it made her heart bleed.
she pledged vengeance,and
to eliminate the perpetrators
retaliated,yet has held her own,
and the values of peace and truth,
she has so well exemplified !
hence for the forgettable year gone by,
Its adios, sayonara, bye bye
The time is not just to be with friends,party;
But to swear truth and honest service
realize our destinies;
coz its the same second at
the stroke of midnight,
that announces the new year
yet it brings new hopes, unlike any
hopes on us, and hopes are many
and as she looks forward to
the new dawn, the new year,
to mama - we all wish
a year of prosperity and bliss
of victory of truth and right
over the evil might;
and 'cause we are all strong
we will all be happy
and for times long..
we will write the most melodious song
for mama, and all of her sons ....
-- 2008 - It was a year that witnessed the worst economic crisis in decades. The credit bubble burst and mortgage crisis followed and along with US, all of her dependencies saw their economies crippling and indexes plummeting. India was a major in that list. Investors, businesses lost money and tightened up. Lay-offs and cost cutting measures ensued, and it was not good news for job-seekers.
-- It was a year that witnessed the most horrendous terror attacks in the nation's history. It not only cost the nation many lives and property but most important of all undermined her sovereignty and integrity by holding her captive for around 60 hours. It also unearthed major follies and lethargy on the government's part in curbing terrorism and building a strong anti-terror mechanism.
I was deeply grieved by the Mumbai terror attacks and take this opportunity to extend my condolences to the victims and their families. It is really a sad day in the history of the nation. And hats off to all the NSG commandos, the Mumbai police, the VT terminal employees like the announcer, the TAJ hotel workers, etc. All of them played their part selflessly in the success of the entire operation.
-- The terror attacks are enough provocation for any nation to break lose, yet government has taken strategic steps by trying to influence the international community to impose political and economic pressures, and force Pakistan to curb and root out terror bases from its own soil. Because war clearly implies MAD(Mutually Assured Destruction). Hence the nation has held her principles in high regard while retaliating and protecting itself. Yet, in face of continued diplomacy and double talk by Pakistan, air strikes on terror bases and camps seems inevitable.
As a result of the ongoing tension between the nations, the gas-pipeline deal with Iran is most obviously dead. Though Pak might swear allegiance but its ulterior motives can never be trusted, not at least now.
-- Amidst a cauldron of conflicting politics, the ruling party is shaking. The year witnessed the least number of Lok Sabha sittings this year. Till the completion of 11th session there were 49 sittings held so far. And on 23rd Dec, while BJP and Shiv Sena were demanding the sacking of Minority Affairs Minister A R Antulaya, as many as eight Bills were passed in a span of 17 minutes!! I am not authorized to comment much on that, but many of them needed serious discussion.
-- Yet there were victorious moments, the N-Deal success, the Olympic Medals(esp. Bindra's gold), etc. Meanwhile, on personal front it was not a very good year, though it has got many cherishable memories on the pages.
-- So let us not just hope but work for a better, prosperous and happy year 2009.
Adversity breeds genius, and genius breeds contempt. These are testing times for all of us, and we must exude courage and strong will.
"Kyunki dar ke aage jeet he "
WISH YOU ALL THE BEST AND A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR 2009

CAT fever and silly opiums !!
(click for a better veiw)
Hi friends ,
CAT is a true test of one's character rather than just solving problems and bubbling circles .Any one who has ever attempted to bell the cat must have realised this over and over again.
The idiotic and apparently philosophical poem you see above is a stupid vent after many inconsequential hours spent in shallow contemplation of what lies ahead for me !! Infact, the first stanza took form on the back-side of an OMR sheet! This is what happens with me being bogged down, sabotaged and marauded my the ruthless paws of the feline CAT. One week to go, irresistible and invidious spurts of anxiety and apprehensions so well avoided till now, seem to peep in through the inchoate crevices of my 'Fort Knox' and goad my tempestuous self with a look of disdain. A hazy image of glory is still palpable and tempting enough to keep slogging !!
All the best for CAT '08 - Tame the goddamn animal !

Poetry !!

"I believe that poetry is an action, ephemeral or solemn, in which there enter as equal partners solitude and solidarity, emotion and action, the nearness to oneself, the nearness to mankind and to the secret manifestations of nature. And no less strongly I think that all this is sustained - man and his shadow, man and his conduct, man and his poetry - by an ever-wider sense of community, by an effort which will for ever bring together the reality and the dreams in us because it is precisely in this way that poetry unites and mingles them."
“The poet didn’t scare off when they said he was a rebel. Poetry is rebellion. The poet was not offended when he was called subversive. Life transcends all structures, and there are new rules of conduct for the soul. The seed sprouts anywhere, all ideas are exotic, we wait for enormous changes everyday, we live through the mutation of human order avidly and spring is rebellious.”

Beach Lessons

In just two vital visits to a sandy (of course !) coastline beach nearby, I have begun to understand why people feel like returning to the BeachBaba every time some sort of extreme turbulence freezes their brains( Wat ! No, it wasn't one of those Australian nude beaches where scantily clad skimp mangoes run to ripe!!).
If you are an ambitious runner, weiried down by deliberate attempts of subversion by peers or otherwise, the mighty waves splashing hard against rocks, retreating back, gathering energy and gushing down again teach you perseverance and the preponderance of work(or Karma) against apparent glories of their results .Do not hedge your bets, run harder.
Throw anything light it gets back to you. The resilient sea wouldn't readily get into debts. But if the shit you throw are heavier than the waters, they spoil the waters and at times to an irreparable extent. The sea gets coarser on the outer though it might be ethereal pure-blue at its core. Her tertiary arms suffer the bruises, but she fights on with an inspiring endurance. Her tolerance should not be miscued to be her weakness because we have all witnessed the aftermaths of her rage.Though ultimately we have come to realise the painful reactions of our actions with a part of the sufferings closing down on us and our coming generations.
If you are stressed, the rejuvenating fresh breeze on the beaches infuse in you a new leash of life with all sorts of hopes and aspirations, love and affection, happiness and purpose,blah..blah.And certainly, I bet the amazing tranquility in the darkness of the post-sunset beaches is far more intoxicating and refreshing than any opium you may have tried. The silence and isolation of the beaches together with the melodious sound of beating waves is soothing to one's heart and soul and certainly wipes of all bitter thoughts or nerve-wrecking and revolutionary ideas clogged down in your humble brain. Pure unalduterated harmony of nature.
Well if you are one Schmaltz bomb, the natural beauty and romantic ambience might be the perfect trigger for an unprecedented explosion. Please do not let the splinters spoil the moment, try being happy like all the merrier people on the beach !! Coz, things happen for a reason and a better purpose. Hopefully, BeachBaba's vibes will be re conciliating.
The might and the volume of the sea exemplify greatness in humility.
And for the ever jovial characters, a perfect place for merry-making. Plan a trip, sleep down with your buddies, and enjoy the Ashram. BeachBaba's tutelage is all the more helpful for all you young guns. One thing you will certainly take off with you are cherisable memories of the blissful moments. Hope everyone's in this category.
And lot more life lessons to discover. It is up to you. You might not get any lessons at all, but you cannot certainly ignore the energy of the place.
Happy learning and have fun.

An Endless Dark Pursuit

On a night like this, he would not have been out. But tonight it was different. Peter Keller could no way compromise with the task at hand.
December 2007.Sitting by his bed, he was thinking of all those wonderful moments he had spent with his wife that like an appliqué had transformed his life. Those were the only things he remembered of his life. Hands in hands, deep down in contemplation, his abrupt thoughts were interrupted by Maria’s words that seemed like her last.
“Peter, don’t lose heart. Peter”. Peter looked at her with desperate affection, terrified by the thought of losing her, and the emptiness that would ensue. He could feel the sudden spasms of her body. The sweet reminiscence of old memories juxtaposed with the pain of watching his wife suffer. His religious beliefs and faith in the Almighty was shattered. And he was helpless.
He wanted his wife, and this desire was driving him mad. The furious and turbulent waves of anxiety had literally drained out all reason off his smothered soul.
It was thirty past midnight. As the gusty winds slammed the window panes, the calendar dropped on the floor. Peter was baffled, as he picked it up. He couldn’t waste anymore time. Unkempt, with long beards, and curious-faced scars, Peter put on his overcoat, checked his knife and drove off. He had to do this.
The stormy winds were back and he could hardly see anything as he was speeding away. “Screech”, he applied the brakes and an appalled silence filled his face as he noticed blood dripping on his rearview mirror. He turned back, and ‘splat’, a tender hand just like his wife’s across the glass. Right then, the wipers started and car drove off all by itself. He tried his best to control it but couldn’t. All the while the mysterious events were boggling down on his mind. As the car sped, he noticed, as a sudden impulse, his wife before the car and zoom the car ran over her. Blood and mucous splat across the glass and it almost freezed his heart. Meanwhile the car veered off the road and hit a tree. The madness to cure his wife was so intense, he didn’t feel any pain and started running towards the Orland Cemetery across the churchyard. He fell on a grave with blood all across his face. He could see petrifying apparitions all around. He pulled his knife and a ceremonious cloth and cut his skin deep enough to drip in the cloth. An intense passion and belief in the supernatural or, may be, in his wife’s survival had eclipsed all his rationale and religious beliefs. A strange numbness had robbed his psyche of all physical acuities. Meanwhile, his chest continued to bleed as he tied the cloth around a creepy plant. He was struggling as he tried to spell strange chants.
‘If God can’t, I can and I will’.
With these words he fell over the gravestone and dropped his knife, and a name shone on the stone in the glint of his knife.
“Maria Keller
Died – 10/08/2005 ”
Summary :-
The subconscious mind of an individual is believed to hold supernatural powers and the body accustoms itself to things that our subconscious accepts. This is also a reasonable explanation to most mysteries, like the strange healing power of priests or Gurus. The story exemplifies this power and the manner in which it can it deter resistance by reason developed over the entire span of one's life. Still, a lot is left to the readers to comprehend, just to ensure they don't fall into a stereotypical thought process.
This is the story I have written as an entry for the Times Of India supplement SpellBound.

Need You by my side..
among riots, warheads and the Truth beneath,
awake happy, sad or in deep sleep,
in danger of being shelled
right through my sheathe,
I need you by my side,
I need you to share, to talk
laugh and live
by my side, by my side...
when the sun's 'bout to rise
to light upon billion lives,
I need you, to shine by my side;
and when clouds start to pour
I'd love seeing you dance
and the rain adore.
I need you by my side
on isolated moonlit nights,
on bright Sunday mornings,
electric Sat-eves and spooky horror times,
times of joy, times of sorrow,
regret and pride and everytime
so I could have every feeling
and watch you feel
by my side, by my side.
to watch the spiralling rise
of every mote of life around us
to live to the promises of those
who bequethed, life and breath in us,
to confide and let confess
to compromise, appraise and despise
to absolve and get absolved
to preach to someone things I think
to stare at and barter cute winks
to cuddle and care
and the wildest thoughts share
to have someone,to entrust everything to
on some buying spree, or to help free
I need a hand, to hold mine
I need a stand to support mine
I need a soul to still mine
I need you
to be mine
and walk hand in hand
for times eternal,
till the very last breath
till death and beyond
by my side, by my side.....
but one thing I wished I knew
things you need, things you like
wish we have something alike!!

War of Silence

A thousand attempts failed
and many battles fought,
many lives lost -
millions thoughts crushed,
they call it war - of honour, pride...blah
where one must win
to survive- say not to die;
and what inevitably loses face
and gets weaker is mankind
and hence you ,me and they..
Armstice talks, 'diplomatic' efforts
colour the facade while
ammo race and nuclear craze
dump into every backyard squallor
bound by factitious legacies
the smokescreens are blinding
and promises and hopes untrue
and till we open our hearts out
The war of silence
will ensue ..
will haunt
every matryr to come...
and every child born..
peacekeeping forces come and piss
speakers scream burn the mikes
and deep within every nation
every soul makes a wish
-why to cry and plead to God
and still nod- its all His work
though unifying are such
spiritual waves-
ah ! what a paradox;
the sinews of war
and malign industry stocks
will mount on to capacity
and troops on the borders
stand alone, face the chill winds
of queit hostility and truce traps,
of the war of minds called religious prejudice
of burns, of scars inscripted on them
so crafted they turn fanatics
such miseries
exigencies of 'wars'
will continue to rot human race
darken all our lives
and till we open our hearts out
The war of silence
will ensue ..
will haunt
every matryr to come...
and every child born..

Losing Myself
while I wander all alone
unclear intox-waves in my head
speak to a fragment
of my soul unknown.
The roads are clear-
on my way ahead
cluttered, with crowded matter
that run for better
while I'm still in quest
for beauties off it.
I draft stupid messages
to be reading all by myself
and hold the phone
close by my ears
waiting you to call;
the fragment the intox-waves
all till they fall
drive me to crazy lands
with sharp edges and vacant pleasures.
While the city screams and engine chugs
provide cover, I talk to you, read you stories
wishing you're by my side
to laugh at my jokes,
to deign to make love
till I fall asleep...
that part of my soul
clearly beyond my will
has tamed me tight
and I am losing myself.
I do things otherwise I wouldn't
I gettin weak a way I shouldn't
debauched into crazy trash
with nothing to gain
a fascimile of you -
stuck in my brain
predisposes it to unknown cancers
and replicating pain
smothering me and stretching me
to such lengths
I'm losing myself
I'm losing myself.
